(AP)CAIRO: Violent overnight confrontations between supporters of deposed Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi and security forces led to the death of at least 100 people here on Saturday. Agency reports put the death toll at 120 and the wounded count at 4,500.

A Muslim Brotherhood spokesman said policemen fired live rounds at peaceful protesters. ?They are not shooting to wound, they are shooting to kill,? he said.

Pro-Morsi Brotherhood activists said they would not be cowed down and warned of further bloodshed if the soldiers did not back off. ?We will stay here until we die, one by one,? an activist said.
