announced today that it is partnering with GHAMFIN – Ghana Microfinance Institutions Network. Oradian is not only speaking at GHAMFIN’s 7th Annual General Meeting on Microfinance which will be held in Accra on November 24th, but is also one of the sponsors of the event.
The topic of the meeting is “The Next Big Step In Transparency: Implementing the Unified Code of Conduct” and Antonio Separovic, co-founder and managing director at Oradian will present how Oradian’s technology is helping microfinance institutions in enabling financial inclusion in West Africa.
This October Oradian was recognized as the best fintech startup in Central Europe for 2015, but this is just one in a series of accolades for this company whose innovations are being recognized at festivals and competitions around the world. Oradian was also the winner of the Shift Challenge 2014, Pioneers Festival 2014 in Vienna and Wired Money 2015 in London.
Oradian was launched in 2012 by Separovic together with Andrew Mainhart, Julian Oehrlein and Onyeka Adibeli. All four had previously worked for a number of years in the microfinance sector, as practitioners and vendors, across Sub-Saharan Africa, South-East Asia, Europe and Latin America. After experiencing first-hand the inability of existing core-banking solutions to cater to the unique needs and challenges of microfinance institutions, the four joined forces to build Oradian’s flagship product, Instafin, a cloud-based core banking platform which radically transforms how these institutions do business and allows them to leverage technology to empowering their clients.
Using the latest cloud-based technology, services and know-how, Oradian increases efficiency and effectiveness of financial intermediaries, digitally connecting financial institutions and individuals at the base of the pyramid with each other and the global economy.
The company’s focus is West Africa with a large number of growing customers – who are all delighted with Instafin because it dramatically improves their business and introduces a whole new level of professionalism to their operations. “We love it, it’s so easy to use!” is how one of Oradian’s customers in Ghana – Rita Mensah, General Manager at CEDI Capital MF described their experience with Instafin.
